Citrus Immunity Smoothie Bowl

The beauty of a recipe like this is that it LOOKS like you spent a lot of time and effort, when it reality the entire concoction comes together in about five minutes.

The flavor combination here is very refreshing and perfect for a hot summer day. You’ve probably heard the multitude of health benefits from turmeric and ginger, but they also complement the citrus nicely!

There’s always money in the banana stand! 

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 small oranges
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin pureé
  • 1 TBS maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/4 cup almond milk (optional)

METHOD:

  1. Add all ingredients to blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Add ice cubes for thickness or almond milk to thin. Add maple syrup, depending on the sweetness of your fruits.
  2. Pour into bowl and top with granola, coconut, chia seeds, or more fruit.
