My three favorite recipes for homemade, healthy, easy guacamole! Ready in minutes and perfect for feeding a crowd at a party, these simple ideas are full of flavor and easily customizable. Read on for Classic Guacamole, Spicy Mango Guacamole, and Elote-Inspired Guacamole!
Guacamole is one of those foods that I somehow seem to forget about.
It’s hard for me to discriminate when it comes to party foods (dips especially), but guac is something I tend to avoid making because it can be rather ingredient intensive! Avocados are expensive, so I often prefer to save them for toast.
But for today’s post I wanted to record my “go-to” guacamole recipe, along with some fun variations. This way you can easily adapt to what you have on hand!
How to Make Guacamole (the easy way)
To begin, we’re making a fairly simple “base recipe” for classic guac that could be considered the most standard iteration. It’s easily spiced up with the addition of a hot salsa on top, but also easily kept neutral if you’re serving to a spice-averse crowd.
Don’t get me wrong, this easy guacamole does not at all lack in flavor!
After this base recipe is established, we’re talking a fruity variation using mango. I love the tropic vibes of this version, and it’s perfect for bringing a taste of summer to the table. I’m also including tips for a spicy mango guac, if that’s up your alley.
What I love about the mango version is that it’s easily suited to other fresh fruits you may have on hand. Blueberries or strawberries also work well.
Finally, we’re drawing some inspiration from Mexican street corn with an elote-driven take. Roasted corn, cayenne pepper, and cashew parm round out this edition, providing a lot of hearty texture and warming flavor.
Dan’s favorite is the elote blend!
