How to Make Crispy Ravioli Bites

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and oil one standard half sheet pan.
  2. Mixing ground flaxseed and milk in a large, shallow bowl or dish. Add oregano, thyme, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and black pepper to the milk. Stir to combine.
  3. Add parmesan, breadcrumbs, and salt to a separate small bowl. Taking one ravioli at a time, dip in the milk mixture to coat and then dip in the breadcrumb mixture, rotating as needed to cover. Place onto prepared baking sheet + repeat.
  4. Coat ravioli with a few more TBS olive oil and bake for 10 minutes, until well toasted. Serve warm with marinara sauce!

As you can see, this recipe is very quick from start to finish and will be ready in just about 20 minutes. I am using vegan ravioli (Kite Hill is my favorite brand), but I encourage you to use what you have access too! The flax in the milk mixture helps bind the breading (like an egg would), but it can be omitted if needed.

For the sake of ease I am using purely the pantry-staple dried herbs and spices I keep on hand. However rest assured, if you don’t have these specific ingredients, anything in the “Italian-inspired” family should work. Thing dried basil, marjoram, sage, or parsley.

Can ravioli be air fried?

Yes! This recipe produces a similar result to an air fryer but these are made in an oven. If you’d like to try this recipe in an air fryer, preheat it to 350 degrees F and cook ravioli for 4 minutes on each side.

Can I make crispy ravioli bites from frozen?

Yep, definitely. If you start this recipe with frozen pasta you will need to add 4-5 minutes to the cooking time.

What is the best vegan ravioli?

Kite Hill makes a wonderful assortment of almond-based cheese pastas that I find indistinguishable from traditional ravioli.  They can skew expensive, but may be worth a try if you haven’t found a premade pasta you really like!

Thanks for reading this recipe! I hope you enjoy this recipe for crispy ravioli bites. If you’re looking for more Italian-inspired snack recipes, try one of these next:
