At the beginning of a new year, there is often quite a bit of focus on resolutions surrounding diet. Many of the messages in our culture fixate heavily on extreme measures regarding diet and exercise, with unattainable and impermanent results. Generally, these resolutions do not take in part personal health as much at they do outward appearance.
We know now that health comes in a variety of shapes and sizes, and diet is something that is only one small piece of an overall puzzle.
With that said, I do love the way I feel when consuming a lot of fresh, colorful produce. I rarely leave a vegetable-laden meal feeling sluggish or like I need a nap. For this reason, I am all about ADDING in more fun fruits and vegetables, as opposed to the typical restriction mindset so many people have with their eating habits. The more greens, the merrier!
